Hi,
I hope you're doing well.
Since I did not have the strengh to do an Artwork for March 8. which was international Women's Day I thought to share the most important female artists with you.
But first I like to ask you to help
getting help for her dog Lisa, who is very sick and the costs for the vet are so high that she has difficulties to pay them on her own - but does not want to give up on her dog.

Hello my dears!
Perhaps you have noticed that I have not been very active in the past month on DA.
The reason is the illness of my dog Lisa
I've been thinking for a long time about writing this journal!
But my desperation is now greater than the embarrassing feeling of asking for help!
Lisa, my dog, is now 3 years old. She has been infected with a serious illness due to a tick bite.
She has anaplasmosis! A shock!!!
The first episode of the disease was a retinal detachment in both eyes.
She was blind for several days and could not handle it.
Then the veterinarians succeeded in using all medical possibilities
that the retina has partially re-established.
Lisa could see again. Not as much as before - but she saw something!
That stayed like that for about 3 months!
Then came the next anaplasmosis disease episode.
She had a glaucom

Marion Zimmer Bradly
I pretty much devoured her Darkover and other Sci-Fi/Fantasy novels and read them many times. I had a full collection of these books until there wasn't any room more for more books in my room so most of them are gone now - but they live on in my memory.
What I really loved about these was that they were as much about gender roles and character development as well as about society as a whole as they were science fiction/fantasy novels and novellas.

Madonna
Her songs acompanied me to many days of me childhood and teenager years.
I always found her to be such a strong person that just did her thing, no matter what others said, especially during those times in the 80ties where still many old fashioned people thought that it wasn't okay for a woman to be that successful and independent.

So I guess I give this a try, but to be honest it is extremely hard to pick just five topics / favs I like most cause I have much more than five.
This is for #showyouheart
So here they are (not necessary in this order):
1. Computers
Well I am a geek - and probably will always be one.
2. Animals
To choose just one was more than hard, but I went with this one to honour dear Jocelyne for her amazing animal photos, may she rest in peace:
3. Final Fantasy
Well, I guess I always will love it -- even after all these years it never ceases to lose its magic. To be honest I prefer the older titles starting with Final Fantasy II and ending with Final Fantasy VII. I'm a bit old school with games like these, even keeping old consoles like DS Lite and PSP -- well, I got a Wii too.
The one fav I'll be sharing with you is a wonderful cosplay photo:
4. Star Wars
Yeah, well, it never gets old I guess. To be honest this was close one, cause I love Star Trek pretty much the same way, yet different.

yesterday when I logged into dA I saw a friend's journal and was deeply shocked, because
has passed away:Angels are grieving for Jocelyne
I have terrible news about Jocelyne: as you may have noticed here non existent activity since a week, she got struck by a severe aneurysm rupture in the brain. For those who don't know yet, I, Philippe, a.k.a. philippeL is her son. Her secondary account is also surrealistic-gloom, where she allowed to express deep emotions through surrealistic and strongly edited photos.
She desired to keep all those "secrets" for her own reasons, not to offend anyone, on the contrary. But now, everybody ought to know her terrible fate.
Although she did not suffer much since the time I saw her - certainly she experienced a massive headache when it happened at her home at Quebec City, Canada, early this week. Seized by violent spasms and gestures, she grabbed tables, chairs, books and many objects on her grasp, living the room where she was as a mess. And I found here there Friday night. I know that she was in this state
So this to remember her the way she was with her beautiful animals she loved out of the depth of her heart.
